What is lay betting?
Lay betting means betting that a horse will lose a race. On the Betfair Exchange, you act as the bookmaker — if the horse loses, you win the backer's stake. If it wins, you pay out. DonkeyRadar identifies the horses statistically most likely to lose.
How does DonkeyRadar find the donkeys?
Our model analyses historical strike rates, form data, field sizes, and live Betfair Exchange prices. It identifies horses in the 5–10 lay price band whose probability of losing is significantly higher than the market implies. Every signal is generated before the race and published with full transparency.
Can you make money from lay betting?
With a statistical edge, yes — but it’s not guaranteed. Lay betting carries liability risk, and losing streaks happen. DonkeyRadar's verified track record shows a strike rate above 85%, but past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
Do I need a Betfair account?
